About us

The concept of Coffee Table Travel Book was first discussed in early 2007 by it’s founder Lenore D’Anzieri, while sitting her kitchen trying to figure out what her next career move would be. The original concept was to provide travelers with a resource to create a photo album/journal about their vacation experiences. This book was to incorporate not only personal information such as: photo’s journals and memorablia, but to employ technologies that would help incorporate information directly from their travel vendor’s websites. The traveler would then be able to create a book, choosing from a variety of covers, paper and print, to commemorate their vacations.

Of course, the first step to getting Coffee Table Travel Book off of the ground was to build a website. Although Lenore’s background is in travel and travel related services, she sat down at her kitchen table and started to put together a website. Although cosmetically the site looked pretty good, Lenore sought the expertise of a web development team to incorporate the necessary coding to make the site functional. It was then that the small picture began to grow. Following discussions with people in the travel, media and web development industry, Lenore met the team of CIS and presented them with her business plan for Coffee Table Travel Book. It was only a matter of time before that plan was no longer a plan, but the root of the tree that we have grown today.

The question was, where do we go from here? None of us realized where we were headed at this point. What we did realize was that we wanted people like us, travelers who had traveled, either for pleasure or for business, to have a place to meet, keep in contact, exchange views and opinions. It became a Travel Community with several complementing services designed to help travelers at all stages of their trip. In addition, it will give vendors and buyers a place to come together to exchange views.

In December, 2008 we launched Coffee Table Travel Book. Understanding the importance of interaction and the communities participation in growing the site, we decided to implement a feedback area for our community to communicate to us, their thoughts on enhancing the site. To that end, we have created a fully, interactive community for everyone who travel’s, either once in a lifetime or every day of their life.
